How the Custom Ordering Process Works: The special
order form is found below. At the top of the form, the base price for a custom
psaltery is listed. Within this base price are many options to chose from, but you will
also notice many options that cost extra, and the price of each of
these is noted in parenthesis as well.
Once you've picked out all the options and configurations that
you want, your order will be reviewed by me. I will then discuss any needed
issues and finalize a price with you. When the final price of the psaltery is
determined, I will require an initial deposit of 10% of the final price of the
instrument. This is to reserve your instrument, and to keep your building order
priority over any other regular psalteries I may be building. This 10% deposit
will be applied toward your final cost, and once the instrument is finished and
ready to ship, I will send you a final invoice for the cost of the remaining 90% of
the instrument, plus shipping and any accessories you may have ordered.
General Information Regarding Custom Work:
A custom-ordered psaltery takes roughly six to eight
weeks to complete, minimum. (The majority of this time is simply to
allow the finish to harden.)
If
you want to order any additional accessories, (tuners, extra bows, etc.) please
check them off in the boxes at the bottom of the order form.
I highly recommend looking at the Woods
and Materials page before placing an order, as it will give you a visual
idea of what everything will look like when finished.
